My Friend - My Sister

On the morning of October 31

I held her hand so fragile and small,

But she still managed to smile that smile for us all.

As I sat and talked with her that day,

I held back tears and tried to control my emotion,

Knowing well of her strength, courage, and devotion.

Only a few years she had lived

with so much more to do and to see,

Yet so much love she had given to Haleigh and me.

Life is so precious and we never ever yet know,

When we would be born or when it is our time to go.

So please hold on to those you love and then,

Cherish each and every day to the fullest and then when,

God calls one home and it is time for them to go,

They will carry your love in their heart with them and so,

You know that their days at life’s final call;

Were not in vain nor once wasted at all.

If Pepsi could reflect such bravery and strength,

So too can we, go that extra mile or length.

“Pepsilina”, it has been so hard on me through all of this.  My sister, you were taken away from me too soon.  I find strength in knowing that you are now at peace and with the rest of the angels in heaven.  It is going to be difficult not being able to pick up the phone and call you just to talk.  Thanks for being a mother to “our” daughter.  I will forever hold true to the promises that I made to you.  Haleigh and I love you and miss you dearly.  You will always have a special place in our hearts.

Love Tiffany
