The Parade

Recently
I went to the Holiday Parade in downtown Lowell, and my sister and I kept
saying how cold it was. But then both of us thought "remember 3 years
ago when we both said it had to be below zero," I instantly thought
of Pep. She had Devon with her and I had my niece Ally and daughter
Elizabeth along with me. Devon's mom was in having his baby brother at the
time and Ally's mom was having her little sister that day. So we braved
the cold and went to the parade. The kids were having a ball, all Devon
kept calling Pepsi was Auntie Gorgeous, he loved the parade. On the other
hand, my niece Ally was frightened by the clowns in the parade. She just
clung to Pepsi, and of course Pepsi was so good with kids, she calmed Ally
and made her feel better. What a trooper Pepsi was! She never mentioned
the fact that her coat was too heavy, that her back felt like it was
breaking, she stood out in that cold for hours, all the while making the
kids feel secure and happy. Pepsi always treated children special. She
will always be loved and missed.
